Appointments

What's the best way to book an appointment?

The easiest way to request an appointment with the GP or Nurse is online by following this link https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com/2/OnlineConsultation?OrgId=B84612. You can self-book a Telephone Triage consultation with a doctor directly using SystmOnline or the NHS APP. You will also find this option under the "Services" tab in the NHS App.  To use our online services you need a username and password - please contact reception who will be happy to help you.

You can also telephone us or call in at reception during surgery hours. Your request will be processed by a Clinician (usually a GP) who will decide on the best person or service to help you.

We aim to give appointments to see a doctor of your choice within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). However, it may be more appropriate for you to see another member of the team.

What happens after I contact you?

When you contact the surgery, your details will be taken and a GP will call you back to assess your need. If you need to be seen, we will invite you to book a face-to-face appointment with a GP or other clinician at the practice.

Children under 2 and patients with visual conditions such as rashes will be directly booked into a face-to-face appointment by default, unless you specifically request a telephone call.

Please note the call be returned anytime up to 6.30pm, depending on the urgency of the request.

What if I need to see someone on the same day?

Please let us know when you contact us if you feel your need is urgent. Your request will be assessed and a Doctor will call you. We will do out best to offer you an appointment on the same day, however, this may not always be with the clinician of your choice.

You can also book telephone consultations with the doctor or practice nurse if you wish to do so.

Cancelling Appointments

Many appointments are wasted each year if patients who do not attend don't let us know. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please inform us in advance as this can be offered to others who need it. You can cancel an appointment easily if you are registered for online services.

Appointments with the Nurse and Other Clinicians

For some minor conditions, an appointment with a doctor might well not be necessary at all. Please contact the reception for Minor Ailment clinics.
